Hi all, Litewave and GK Kites will be hosting a demo weekend in Asselah, Oman this coming weekend, 4th and 5th September.

I will have Litewave surfboards and twin tips available for testing. I will also have GK Kites, Trix and V-Sonic available for testing. Look for the flags and come up and ask to give some new equipment a test ride!

I will be staying in the Ras Al Hadd hotel on Friday night, if anyone wants to catch up there.

Hi everyone,

As the wind forecast for this weekend (7th/8th August) is looking good here in the UAE , Litewave and GK Kites are hosting a demo and test weekend at the kitebeach on the border of Umm Al Quwain and RAK.

The full selection of Litewave boards will be available for demo/test: the Spirit, Vision, Wing and Quad-surf.

Also the GK range of kites will be available for demo/test: the V-Sonic and Trix.

So if you fancy a drive out of Dubai, with a change of scenery and trying out some new gear then come on up. Just bring your harness if you want, Litewave and GK will provide the rest!!

Hope to see you there, boards and kites available from noon to sunset Friday and Saturday.

Driving directions: 3 options

Option 1: Take the 311 North (Emirates Road) until the junction after the Dreamland turning, the junction number is 110. Then drive under the 311 towards the sea. This will take you to the coast road just south of the spot. You will come out at a white wall surrounding a villa. Turn right along the coast road. The beach is just on your left, look for the kites and flags! Either cross over the coast road before the road splits into two or turn left to the beach just after the orange material tied to a tree about 1km further down the road. 4WDs are not required but they will allow you to get closer to the beach. Please watch out for soft sand on the beach itself!

Option 2: Take the 611 North (Dubai Ring Road) until its new end. Turn left to join the 311 continuing in direction of RAK. Then take Junction 110 and follow the remaining directions from Option 1 above, to the beach!

Option 3: Take the coast road North from Umm Al Quwain, pass Dreamland, until you see the Villa with the white wall on your left. Then follow the remaining directions from Option 1 above, to the beach!

_2) Traditional freestyle consisting of qualifying heats.

_1) Course racing, aka 'boardercross'
_2) Distance racing w/10-12 mi. course (dep. on cond.)

There will also be awards for the following:

Big Air, Kite Loop, Best Trick, and Best photo.
